Installation

Connecting Water Line

Required for ice maker and water dispenser operation.

  1. Turn off main water supply.
  2. Connect a 1/4" copper tubing to the cold water line shut-off valve.
  3. Route the tubing to the refrigerator connection valve at the back, lower left.
  4. Secure connections and turn water on. Check for leaks.

Tip: Use a water line kit designed for refrigerators. Ensure connections are tight.

Using the Dispenser

Dispenses cubed ice and chilled water.

  1. Ice: Press glass against the ice paddle. Cubed ice will dispense.
  2. Water: Press glass against the water paddle. Water will dispense.
  3. To stop: Remove pressure from the paddle.
  4. Child Lock: Press and hold LOCK and ALARM buttons for 3 seconds to disable dispenser paddles.

WARNING! Do not use thin or delicate glassware. Dispense into sturdy containers.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning interior. Use mild detergent and warm water for surfaces.

Exterior: Clean with soft cloth and mild cleaner. Interior: Remove shelves and bins; wash with warm, soapy water. Dispenser: Wipe with damp cloth; do not use abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Never use harsh chemicals, abrasives, or steam cleaners.

Replacing the Water Filter

Replace filter every 6 months or when indicator light comes on.

  1. Locate filter: Inside the refrigerator compartment, upper right corner.
  2. Turn filter counterclockwise to remove. Discard old filter.
  3. Insert new filter (model 469650), turn clockwise until it stops.
  4. Run water from dispenser for 2 minutes to purge air. Press and hold FILTER RESET for 3 seconds.

Note: Use only Kenmore filter 469650 for optimal performance.
