Before First Use

Prepare the oven before initial cooking or cleaning.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from interior and exterior.
  2. Wipe interior with damp cloth to remove dust.
  3. Run a normal bake cycle at 350°F for 30 minutes to burn off manufacturing residues (ventilate area).
  4. Set clock: Press CLOCK, enter time with number pad, press CLOCK again.

CAUTION! Do not use self-cleaning cycle on a brand new oven. Complete the initial bake cycle first.

Using the Self-Cleaning Cycle

Follow these steps to safely and effectively clean the oven.

  1. Preparation: Remove all racks, pans, foil, and cookware. Wipe up large spills.
  2. Set Cycle: Press SELF CLEAN. Default time is 3 hours. Use number pad to change (2, 3, or 4).
  3. Start: Press START. The oven will beep and "Clean" will display. Door will lock automatically.
  4. During Cycle: Expect heat, smoke, and odor. This is normal. Ventilate kitchen. Do not attempt to open door.
  5. Completion: Cycle ends after set time. "End" displays. Oven remains locked until temperature drops below safe level (approx. 600°F).
  6. After Cooling: Door unlocks. Wipe interior with damp cloth to remove ash residue.

WARNING! Do not force door open during cleaning or cooling. Do not line oven bottom with foil. Do not clean racks in self-cleaning cycle unless manual specifies they are safe.

Regular Cleaning & Maintenance

For daily upkeep and between self-cleaning cycles.

Exterior: Use mild detergent and soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners. Control Panel: Wipe with damp cloth; do not spray directly. Oven Door: Clean glass with glass cleaner when cool. Do not immerse door in water. Oven Interior (spot cleaning): For minor spills, use baking soda paste or approved cleaner when oven is cool. Cooktop: Clean according to type (coil or glass).

Tip: Wipe spills while oven is warm (not hot) for easier cleaning.

Oven Racks & Accessories

Most oven racks are NOT designed for the self-cleaning cycle. Remove before cleaning.

Cleaning Racks: Wash in warm soapy water or use a non-caustic oven rack cleaner. Storage Drawer: Remove and clean separately. Broil Pan: Clean with soap and water; foil lining is acceptable for broil pan (not oven floor).
