Specifications

Controls and Settings

Main controls located on the canister body. Power Nozzle has automatic height adjustment.

Canister Controls: On/Off switch, Suction Power Dial (Min to Max), Cord Rewind Button, Bag Full Indicator Light.

Power Nozzle: On/Off switch for brush roll (for delicate rugs), headlight, automatic carpet height sensor. Suction Power: Adjust dial for delicate drapes (low), general floors (medium), or deep carpet cleaning (high). Bag Indicator: Red light illuminates when bag is full and needs replacement.

Using Attachments

Each attachment is designed for specific cleaning tasks. Ensure vacuum is OFF when changing tools.

  1. For carpets: Use the Power Nozzle. The brush roll agitates fibers for deep cleaning.
  2. For hard floors: Use the Bare Floor Brush. It prevents scattering debris.
  3. For upholstery: Use the Upholstery Nozzle. Use low to medium suction.
  4. For corners/edges: Use the Crevice Tool.
  5. For dusting: Use the Dusting Brush for shelves, blinds, and lampshades.

Tip: For best performance, move the vacuum slowly over the area, making overlapping strokes.

Maintenance & Care

Regular maintenance ensures peak performance and longevity.

  1. Replace bag: When Bag Full light comes on, or suction decreases. Use only Kenmore Type J bags.
  2. Clean filters: Tap out the pre-motor filter monthly. Replace the HEPA filter every 6-12 months.
  3. Check brush roll: Regularly remove hair and string from the power nozzle brush roll.
  4. Inspect hose and wand: Clear any blockages if suction is weak.
  5. Clean exterior: Wipe canister and attachments with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.

WARNING! Always unplug the vacuum before performing any maintenance.

Filtration System

The multi-stage filtration system captures dust and allergens.

Stage 1: Disposable bag captures large particles.
Stage 2: Multi-cyclonic action spins dirt away from the air stream.
Stage 3: Pre-motor foam filter protects the motor.
Stage 4: HEPA final filter traps microscopic particles before air is exhausted.

For allergy sufferers, replace the HEPA filter regularly and never use the vacuum without all filters in place.

Storage & Handling

Store in a cool, dry place. Use the cord rewind and wrap the hose neatly.

  1. Rewind cord: Press the Cord Rewind button while guiding the plug.
  2. Store attachments: Place all tools in the integrated caddy or hang them on the canister hooks.
  3. Position: Store the vacuum in an upright position to prevent tipping.

CAUTION! Do not store near heat sources or with a full bag, as this can cause odors.
