Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on level, solid floor.

  1. Remove shipping bolts: Use wrench to remove four bolts from rear; install plastic caps.
  2. Connect water supply: Attach hot and cold hoses to corresponding faucets (red for hot, blue for cold).
  3. Connect drain hose: Secure to standpipe or laundry sink; ensure proper height (minimum 39 inches).
  4. Level the washer: Adjust front leveling feet until machine is stable and doesn't rock.
  5. Plug into grounded electrical outlet.

WARNING! Do not remove shipping bolts before moving to final location. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.

Connecting Utilities

Water: Hot and cold supply lines. Drain: Standpipe or laundry sink. Electrical: Grounded outlet.

  1. Turn off water supply before connecting hoses.
  2. Use only new hoses; do not reuse old hoses.
  3. Ensure drain hose is not kinked or bent sharply.
  4. Plug directly into wall outlet; do not use extension cord.

Tip: Check for leaks after first connection by running a quick rinse cycle.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for proper operation.

  1. Load laundry: Distribute items evenly around drum; do not overload.
  2. Add detergent: Use HE detergent only; pour into SmartDispense drawer if equipped.
  3. Select cycle: Turn dial to desired wash cycle.
  4. Set options: Press OPTIONS to select temperature, soil level, etc.
  5. Start: Press START/PAUSE; door will lock automatically.
  6. Unload: Wait for door lock light to turn off before opening.
  7. Clean door seal: Wipe gasket area after each use to prevent mildew.

WARNING! Do not open door during wash cycle. Wait until drum stops completely.

  3. Run Tub Clean monthly: Use affresh® tablet or 1 cup bleach.
  4. Check drain pump filter quarterly: Remove and clean lint/debris.
  5. Inspect hoses annually: Replace if cracked or worn.
