Maintenance & Cleaning

  1. Empty Bag/Bin: When indicator shows full. For bagless, empty bin into trash; for bagged, replace bag.
  2. Clean Filters: Remove and wash HEPA and pre-motor filters (if washable) every 3 months. Let dry completely before reinstalling.
  3. Check Brush Roll: Regularly remove hair and string wrapped around brush roll. Use scissors if necessary.
  4. Inspect Hose: Remove clogs by disconnecting hose and checking for blockages.

Bag/Bin Replacement

Bagged Models: Open compartment, remove full bag, insert new Kenmore bag (Model XXX). Ensure bag is seated properly to prevent leaks.
